Want to start the weekend right? Enjoy some live music in Newcastle, Warners Bay and Maitland. You can enjoy different events featuring free concerts. Bring the kids and a picnic or enjoy food from food trucks or local cafes and restaurants while you listen to talented local musicians.
Friday Chill
Friday Chill is a free, family-friendly, live music event hosted by Soul Café on Friday nights through summer in Pacific Park.
Soul Café engages popular local artists to perform chilled-out tunes and invite their friends and community to BYO picnic to enjoy a picnic in the park or take advantage of the gourmet food and drinks served by a selection of local food vendors. Food trucks and children’s activities add to the festival environment.
Event sponsors PRD and NCIG cover the costs of Friday Chill so Soul Café can offer the event free of charge to the Newcastle community.

LIVE at the Levee
Let loose and get down to some great live music at LIVE at The Levee, Maitland.
Popping up in laneways, on the streets and even on the Hunter River itself, expect good vibes, tasty food and maybe even a pop up bar or two. LIVE at The Levee brings you live music by the best musicians from across the region.
Be sure to mark the below dates in your calendar with each event kicking off from 5.30pm to 9.30pm.

Music in the Podium
Music in the Podium returns to Warners Bay Foreshore on Friday 2 December 2022 and runs until Friday 31 March 2023.
The program, hosted by the Warners Bay Business Network, will feature popular local musicians.

Sunday Sessions at MAC, yapang (Museum of Art and Culture) – COST APPLIES
Grab a wine or beer, enjoy some local music and artmaking from 1-3pm at the Museum of Art and Culture Lake Macquarie, Booragul. Art tutorial at 1.15pm.
Tickets are $20 and includes a cheese platter, all art materials and live music. Lake Mac Arts Member tickets: $18 per person
Additional drinks are available for purchase at the bar.
