There are lots of fun playgrounds to explore in Wallsend. This one is at Carrington Street Reserve on the western end of Wallsend and was renovated in 2020.
This brightly coloured neighbourhood playground features a large play shelter with two little side by sides and lots of places to climb up or down. There are climbing nets, a small flying fox and platforms to sit and rest.
The cute little “shop” underneath the structure is fun for kids who want to play “shopping”.
We especially like the balance beams, logs and brightly coloured balls for kids to jump along and practice their balance.
There’s also a group swing, regular swing and a baby swing.
The play equipment best suits kids aged 0 – 7 years. There’s a bright lime green see saw, X and O’s board and a bright orange spinner.
This quiet neighbourhood park is surrounded by grass and shady trees and there’s plenty of street parking.
